September is a great time of year to visit Tokyo. September is the first month of Autumn, the peak of the hot summer days are over but it is still nice and warm in Tokyo to get out and about and enjoy everything Tokyo has to offer. There are some great events and festivals on in Tokyo during September 2017.
So what can you see and do in Tokyo during September?
The second last week of September is called Silver week as there are 2 public holidays during that week. Monday 18th September 2017 is a Public Holiday Respect for the Aged Day. Friday 22nd September 2017 is the Autumn Equinox Public Holiday. Many people in Tokyo take the other days of the week as annual leave to get a full week of holidays. There are many activities around Silver week.

Tokyo beer gardens
Loads of Beer gardens open up in Tokyo over the summer months and are still running during September with pleasant evenings to sit back and enjoy the evening. Many of the beer gardens do a 2 hour session at a fix price for all your can drink and a selection of food.

Hilton Tokyo’s Beer Garden in the Sky runs until 30th September 2017. Held at the Hilton Hotel in Shinjuku.
Jinnaken Beer Garden – located 3 minutes walk from Shibuya Station and open until 24th September 2017
Sky Beer Terrace in Ginza running until 10th September 2017

Baseball in Tokyo
The Japanese baseball season is in full swing in September so get out to see the very popular baseball games. The best place to see a Baseball game in Tokyo is at Tokyo Dome, the fully air conditioned stadium.
Tokyo Dome is home to the Yomiuri Giants, professional baseball team. Check out the schedule for when the Yomiuri Giants are playing at home in the Tokyo Dome:

Belgian Beer Weekend 2017
The Belgian Beer Weekend is being held from Thursday 14th September 2017 until Monday 18th September 2017 in Roppongi Hills.
The Tahiti Fest is an annual event held in Odaiba Tokyo. This September 2017 the Tahiti Fest is being run on Saturday 16th September 2017, Sunday 17th September 2017 and Monday 18th September 2017 (public holiday in Japan).

Nezu Shrine Festival
Each year there is a Matsuri festival held at Nezu Shrine called the Nezu Shrine Festival. This is a Shinto festival where small portable shrines are carried through the neighbourhood to bring good luck and fortune to the residents of the area. This is a colourful, noisy event which should be experienced while visiting Tokyo.
The Nezu Shrine Festival is being held this year on Saturday 16th September 2017 and Sunday 17th September 2017.

Beer Fest Yokohama 2017
Beef Fest Yokohama is being held on the weekend of Saturday 16th September 2017, Sunday 17th September 2017 and Monday 18th September 2017 (Public Holiday)

Pan no Fes (Yokohama Bread Festival)
Run on the same weekend as the Beer Fest in Yokohama is Japan’s biggest bread festival, the Yokohama Bread Festival – Saturday 16th September 2017, Sunday 17th September 2017 and Monday 18th September 2017 (Public Holiday). The festival attracts around 140,000 visitors each year.
Loads of tasty baked bread and other delicious baked products. The Yokohama Bread Festival is held in the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1.

Namaste India Festival 2017
The Namaste India Festival is an annual cultural festival held in Yoyogi Park Tokyo. Get down to Yoyogi Park for the full India experience of dance, music and loads of great Indian food.
Namaste India Festival 2017 is being run on Saturday 23rd September 2017 and Sunday 24th September 2017.
