Cool Beer Bar on Sukhumvit Road Bangkok – Lek’s Last Stand

My beer bar of choice in Bangkok is Lek’s Last Stand, located on Sukhumvit Road very close to the corner of Soi 11, just 1 minutes walk from Nana BTS Station. This is not exactly a cheap beer bar as it is located in the very heart of the Sukhumvit tourist area but a great place to have a cold beer, grab some tasty Thai food, watch some sport and do some excellent people watching along Sukhumvit Road. Lek’s Last Stand also has some very basic rooms available located upstairs from the bar, going for 1000 Thb per night.

100 Baht for a cold Singha Beer. When I am on vacation in Bangkok I tend to get here every afternoon for a few beers before dinner.

While technically not a sports bar, they do have 3 large TV screens showing live sport. On my recent trip I saw them showing Rugby Union, EPL, MotoGP and Superbike races and I watched live NRL from Australia for Friday night footie. Go Parra! They will show all the popular International sports if it is shown on the channels they have available. Pay per views are probably not an option here.

You can smoke in the bar, anything that is legal 😏

The view from the bar in the afternoon is of the Sukhumvit Car Park (or traffic jam) but it has great people watching with the locals and tourist passing by this busy part of Sukhumvit Road.

They do serve food in Lek’s Last Stand. They have a food menu of mostly Thai food. They have a small kitchen out the back of the bar. Food looks good and fairly decent prices. All the usual suspects, Pad Thai, Pad Kra Pao, Fried Rice dishes, grilled meats and seafood. I did see they also had a meat pie on the menu but did not look like any Aussie meat pie I have had before.

I usually stay at the Hyatt Regency Hotel which is just on Soi 13, so just simple 1 minute stroll down to this bar.
