There are over 200 restaurants around Sairee Beach, Koh Tao. Here are some recommended restaurants and what to eat (or list of everything I ate in Sairee Beach):
Blue Light Wine Bar and Bistro – Beach Front – part of the Blue Tao Beach Hotel. Great views of the beach. 90 Baht for a hot latte. I stayed at the hotel, which is very nice, and had breakfast included with my accommodation. There was a choice of 4 breakfast items – English Breakfast, Baked Egg dish, Rosti or a Congee including tea or coffee and a fruit juice. Very good service as this is closish to a 5 star hotel – a very good 4 star.

Cafe Culture – my favourite beachfront breakfast spot were I enjoyed a simple breakfast of hot latte and thick sliced toast with jam and butter for 120 Baht. Cash only!

Seashell Restaurant (out front of Seashell Resort) – really good Muesli, fruit and yoghurt off there Brunch menu available after 10.30am. They do a buffet breakfast for the resort guests which you can pay for as a walk in. The Pizza was ok if you like crispy crust pizza. You can pay by card here with minimum spend 500 Baht.

Charcoal Bay Wine & Grill – a lovely beach front restaurant with views of the sunset. One of the best restaurants on Koh Tao, with service and quality of food outstanding. Service can be a bit relaxed on Koh Tao. They accept credit cards with a minimum 1000 Thb spend plus a 4% credit card surcharge. I highly recommend the Chinese Spiced BBQ Pork Ribs (450B) served with fettucine and bok choi. Their Mojito’s are bloody good too. 👍

New Haven Cafe – right at the end of the beach path, just as the town starts – a very nice coffeeshop selling fresh cakes and slices. I had a slice of lovely lime lemon cake with a hot latte for 200 Thb.

Other restaurants in Sairee Town
De’Coffee and Breakfast Cafe is my breakfast spot in the town centre. A very popular cafe serving up loads of breakfast varieties. Centrico Cafe and Mexican Restaurant (Halal) – right on the main interesction of Saire Town, opposite the 7-Eleven store. I visited twice and sat at the front table with the best view of the intersection. Quality people watching. I had the Hard Shell Beef tacos twice. When I first bit into the taco I thought the shell was not that crispy. I was a little bit but as I ate into it , with the mix of beef, cheese, lettuce, diced tomated, sour cream, guacamole and chopped corianda, these were delightful (I went back the next night for the same.
