Don’t Open The Fridge: Bangkok’s Funkiest Hidden Speakeasy on Soi 11 Sukhumvit

Don’t Open The Fridge: Bangkok’s Funkiest Hidden Speakeasy on Soi 11 Sukhumvit
Don't Open The Fridge Soi 11 Nana Sukhumvit The famous fridge door entrance with "Don't Open The Fridge" sign – the quirky hidden speakeasy bar at the end of Soi 11 Nana Sukhumvit, Bangkok.

Tucked at the far end of Soi 11 Nana Sukhumvit (right next to Soho Pizza), you’ll spot a suspiciously normal-looking fridge stocked with soft drinks and a cheeky sign screaming “Don’t Open The Fridge” with another smaller sign saying “Open To Chill”. Of course, the only logical thing to do is… open the fridge. Push through and you’ll tumble into Don’t Open The Fridge – one of Bangkok’s coolest new hidden bars that opened late 2025.

This place is pure retro-vintage madness in the best way possible. Think walls plastered with classic beer posters (Carlsberg, Budweiser, old-school Thai brands), spinning barber poles, Coca-Cola lampshades dangling from the ceiling, Union Jack-draped sofas, and random Shell Oil signs for that extra quirky vibe. It’s like stepping into a 1970s fever dream meets British pub meets Bangkok back-alley cool.

The soundtrack? Non-stop funky remixed 70s disco gold. On my visit they were blasting Tina Turner, Boney M’s “Rasputin”, Bee Gees grooves – the kind of tunes that make you want to strut even if you’re just nursing a beer.

Drinks are classic Soi 11 premium pricing (you’re paying for the vibe and location):

  • Small Singha draft: 170 THB (~A$8 / US$5.40)
  • Cocktails, wines, and spirits all available – solid selection but expect nightlife rates.

No food menu yet (as of early 2026), but you’re surrounded by Soi 11 legends – grab pizza from Soho next door or late-night eats from nearby spots.

Location tip: End of Soi 11, diagonally opposite the Hillary 11 – look for the fridge between shops. Easy 5-minute walk from Nana BTS.

If you’re bored of standard beer bars and want something properly fun, weird, and Instagram-worthy, Don’t Open The Fridge is an absolute gem. Just remember: whatever the sign says… definitely open the fridge.

Perfect pre-game spot before hitting the rest of Soi 11’s chaos!
