Ichiban Sushi Queen Street Mall Brisbane City
Ichiban Sushi is a good quality sushi train restaurant located right on Queen Street Mall in the heart of Brisbane city centre. If you looking for a quick feed of tasty sushi, this is the place to come. With sushi going round the conveyor belt, ready for the picking as soon as you sit down.
There are counter seating located around the sushi conveyor belt or there are dining booths and tables around the restaurant.
While you can take the sushi direct from the sushi belt, you can also order from the electronic tablets. On the menu is the higher quality sushi as well as a range of other Japanese foods like katsu curry, rice bowls or bento boxes.
I was expecting this to be a high quality Japanese sushi restaurant as the name ‘Ichiban’ means number one! I went in to discover it was a sushi train restaurant. While I did have a nice meal, it was not the full Japanese sushi dining experience I was expecting.
I did end up with just a few of my favourite sushi like the salmon and prawn sushi. I ordered these off the electronic menu, expecting they would be prepared fresh but the staff just took these plates out from the fridges located under the sushi conveyor.
