Pub Food at Greystanes Hotel Sydney Western Suburbs

This popular, family-friendly hotel is situated on Merrylands Rd adjacent to the recently renovated Greystanes Shopping Centre, with large, free parking out the front. Inside is a large bistro serving up some great pub food.

Overlooking the parking is a Beer Garden with tables on a grassed area and alfresco seating under shade clothes. The comfortable Lounge Bar has a magnificent internal stone wall and a large metal heater which makes a cosy atmosphere for the coming winter months.

Here also is the Bistro, where head chef Michael Sloss oversees consistently well-cooked Pub Grub. An extensive menu includes all the usual favourites: Starters $7 – $20; Burgers $13 – $18; Pastas $14 – $24; Salads $10 – $18; Steaks $23 – $32 and they have kids special meals $6 – $8.

Meals can also be enjoyed in the newly-built Family Courtyard (bookings advised) where parents can keep an eye on their kids using the Kids Outdoor Play Area – Climbing Frame / Flying Fox / Helicopters.

At the other end of the building is the Sports Bar with large TV screens (Fox Sports Broadcaster), electronic form guides and TAB facilities. There is also a Drive-thru bottle shop with an extensive range of Wines, Beers and Spirits available. This is not just a pub as they do actually have self-contained unit accommodation from $99 per night. Saturday night they have Karaoke.

The busiest day of the year at the Greystanes Hotel is Xmas Eve. It has been a tradition for many years that the locals from all around the Greystanes / Merrylands area come to the Greystanes Hotel on the evening of Christmas Eve. The car park is full and people are pouring out of the pub enjoying the festive season.
