Pullman Reef Hotel Casino Cairns Hotel Review
Pullman Reef Hotel is one of the best hotels to stay in Cairns. This would round out the Top 3 hotels in Cairns, with the other best options being the Hilton Hotel, directly opposite and the Shangri-La Hotel which is just a few minutes walk away, overlooking the Cairns Marina. I have stayed at Pullman Reef Hotel 2 times in the last 2 years, with the latest stay of 4 nights in December 2020. The first time I stayed at the Pullman Reef Hotel, I booked directly on the hotel website (earning Accor Frequent Stay points). On my last stay I treated myself to a Junior Suite at $300 per night. I had booked this through the Agoda Hotel Booking site and it saved me around $40 per night compared to if I had booked direct with the hotel. I was happy to forgo the Accor Frequent Stay points to get the cheaper room price.

Location
Smack bang right in the heart of Cairns, walking distance to many of the tourist highlights in Cairns including the Cairns Marina and Esplanade. If you are up for some casino action, then this is definitely the place to stay as the hotel is within the casino complex.
A taxi / Uber ride from Cairns Airport to the Pullman Reef Hotel will take just under 15 minutes.
Room Quality
I have stayed in both a Deluxe King Room and the Junior Suite and rate the room quality at the Pullman Reef Hotel a solid 9.5, This is a true luxury 5 star hotel with quality rooms and great beds for a sound nights sleep.
Rooms have a balcony which is one of the reasons I love staying at this hotel. Rooms either have a view of the Cairns Marina Waterfront, over looking the swimming pool, or overlooking the city centre across to the mountains. Both times I have stayed I choose a room with the waterfront view. Stunning view I should add.

24 hour reception area.
Fast Wi-Fi internet access in the rooms. I uploaded a view large files to the internet and the speeds of the WiFi was very good.
Great fitness centre with a few cardio machines and lots of free weights. I did a couple of workouts at the gymnasium and was very happy with the equipment.
Awesome rooftop swimming pool. A definitely highlight is the rooftop pool on level 4 with a great area for relaxing and the nice sized swimming pool which is good for anyone wanting to swim laps.
In-House Restaurants
With 6 restaurant/bars to choose from within the Casino complex, you are spoiled for choice.
If breakfast is included in your room price then the breakfast is served downstairs, right next to the foyer, at the Merchant Cafe. Breakfast was not included with my room prices but I still had breakfast at the Merchant Cafe 1 time. I had one of the best bacon and egg rolls I have ever eaten. It was quite expensive at $16 but a hearty meal. The coffee is great at Merchant too.
The other choices of restaurants is the Asian Fusion restaurant Soy Kitchen Street Food, an international/Asian food at Tamarind and a great selection of food from the Flinders Bar and Grill within the Casino.

If the 6 restaurants within the hotel complex is not enough, then the hotel is walking distances from all the great restaurants along the Cairns Marina waterfront and plenty more restaurants within minutes walk within the city centre of Cairns.
