Good Italian Food in Cairns at Villa Romana Trattoria

Villa Romana Trattoria is one of the best Italian restaurants in Cairns, located on the Esplanade, directly across from the Cairns Waterfront, near the Cairns Lagoon. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this is the place to come for excellent pizza, pasta, steak and seafood.

I got into to eat at Villa Romana Trattoria in December 2022, my most recent visit to Cairns. First time I went in for lunch and had to try their pizza. Well pizza is one of the 5 major food groups!

Villa Romana’s Pizzas and Calzones are naturally risen for 48 hours which gives the best pizza crust. They are 100% hand made in Villa Romana’s kitchen and cooked Neapolitan style, in their Italian made Cuppone Pizza Oven. I went for their Pepperonata Pizza which comes topped with just cacciatore salami, roasted red capsicum and a sprinkle of cheese. A very simple pizza but very tasty!

I also got in to try their breakfast. I went for the traditional bacon and eggs which comes with a grilled tomato and sour dough toast.
