I rate the Bento Box at Kabuki Shoroku Japanese Seafood Restaurant as the best Bento Box in Sydney. I have been eating the delicious Japanese food at Kabuki Shoroku for many years now. It is my favourite Japanese Restaurant in Sydney.
On their lunch time menu, available Monday – Friday, Kabuki Shoroku have 2 Bento boxes available. Their ‘Kabuki Bento Box’ comes with Edo style Sushi, sushi roll, sashimi tempura, miso soup and choice of Chicken Teriyaki ($39), Fish Teriyaki ($44) or beef Teriyaki ($44).
The other bento box is their ‘Shoroku Bento Box’ which comes with Sashimi, Tempura, Grilled fish of the day, steamed rice and miso soup for $35.
Now you really need to come with a big appetite as the Bento Boxes at Kabuki Shoroku are packed with loads of food to satisfy the largest of eaters.
Kabuki Shoroku is located at 202 Clarence Street Sydney CBD, on the ground floor of the St Martins Tower Building, located opposite the northern end of Queen Victoria Building.

For some of the best and cheapest Bento boxes in Sydney, head to Megumi Japanese Restaurant at 66 Esrkine Street Sydney, not far from Wynyard Train Station. Megumi is a small Japanese take-away store (some seating upstairs) that does a range of cheap Japanese food. They have a good range of bento boxes which have reasonable prices and a good range of main meals. They have a large bento box with Spicy chicken, rice, noodles, edame, pickles and a small tempura prawn for $8.50. There is the Salmon Bento box for $11.90 and they also have a smaller bento box with teriyaki tofu which is a cheap $8.50.
Lunchtime Bento Box at Sake Restaurant The Rocks
Now the lunchtime Bento Box at Sake Restaurant in The Rocks Sydney is another luxury bento box costing $49. Sake Restaurant is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Sydney so the price is high but all the ingredients are high quality.
The Bento box served at Sake Restaurant is a real Japanese bento box, with the polished box with several different compartments. A bowl of edamame is first served for you to munch on while waiting for your bento to be made up.
The bento box has in it some chirashi salad, vegetable tempura, shiokoji chicken, some rice and a bowl of miso soup is also served.
This luxuxy bento box also comes with a dessert of some finely presented green tea ice cream to finish off this excellent meal.
