Azzurra Authentic Italian Restaurant in Ao Nang
If you’re strolling along Ao Nang Beach Road and cravng a slice of Italy with prime people-watching, Azzurra is the spot! This lively Italian spot sits right across from the beachfront, offering partial glimpses of the Andaman Sea and those classic long-tail boats chugging by – perfect for a relaxed tropical vibe.

The service here is genuinely warm and attentive – the staff make you feel right at home. And let’s talk drinks: they’ve got cheap, ice-cold beers that hit the spot in the heat, plus chilled red wine (a genius move for Thailand’s tropical weather) and Prosecco by the glass. Pure refreshment!I went for a classic Francesca pizza on a thin, crispy base with quality ham shining through, and the ricotta and spinach cannelloni – a pleasant, comforting vegetarian twist that’s hearty and cheesy. The Banana Sundae dessert was extra yummy with neopolitan ice cream.

The real star? Sitting outdoors on Beach Road for epic people-watching – tourists, locals, sunset strollers – it’s endless entertainment while you sip and nibble.
The Italian owner of the restaurant is usually standing out front chatting with the locals and tourists. He told me he came to Ao Nang in 1991 as a 22 year old and opened the restaurant in 1998.

3 Other Popular Dishes on the Menu (Highly Recommended by Visitors):
- Tagliatelle with Seafood — Fresh homemade pasta loaded with seafood – a standout favorite!

Overall, Azzurra is a great pick for a laid-back Italian meal with fantastic location perks. If you’re in Ao Nang, pull up a chair and enjoy the show! (Note: They add a 3% fee for credit cards, so cash is handy.)
