Elephant Village Hua Hin Thailand
The Elephant Village is a small sanctuary just outside from the Hua Hin Town Centre, around 5kms away. You can get a Tuk-tuk to the Elephant Village in less than 15 minutes.
This is a refuge for abandoned and neglected Elephants. Currently they have 4 elephants in their care. Sadly the elephants have a chain around their legs which is sort of a protection for the tourists visiting.
There is no entrance fee to the Elephant Village. They raise money to run the sanctuary by offering Elephant rides for 800 Baht for 20 minutes or you can buy a basket of cucumbers or bananas for 100 Baht each, and go and hand feed some of the elephants.
There is another Elephant sanctuary around 5 minutes drive from the Elephant village called Ethical Elephant Camp.
