The Coffee Club Ao Nang: A Little Slice of Aussie Breakfast Heaven in Krabi
I’m no stranger to a proper Aussie brekkie – but finding one in Ao Nang that feels like it’s been teleported straight from Queensland? That’s gold. The Coffee Club has two prime locations here: one right on the beachfront promenade (perfect for people-watching over coffee), and another just 300m inland on the main road – both ridiculously convenient for that lazy morning stroll.
Yes, The Coffee Club is Australian-born (started in Brisbane back in 1989), and the Thai branches are run under the Minor Food Group franchise – bringing that familiar all-day breakfast vibe to Thailand. There are now over 40 stores across Thailand (as of 2025), with heavy presence in Bangkok and tourist spots like Krabi, Phuket, and Pattaya.
Walking in feels like home – bright, air-conditioned, and buzzing with a mix of locals, expats, and tourists. The menu is comfortingly familiar: big portions, strong coffee, and those classic Aussie-style breakfasts.

My standout was the Eggs Benedict with Bacon – hands down the best breakfast I’ve had in Ao Nang so far. Perfectly poached eggs with that glorious runny yolk, quality bacon strips, rich hollandaise, fresh lettuce, all perched on excellent sourdough. Simple, but executed flawlessly – no skimping here.

I also tried the Overnight Oat Meal with Tropical Fruit (220 Thb A$10.50) – oats topped with mango, strawberries, blueberries, shredded coconut, and passionfruit. The oats were a touch dry (personal preference – I like them creamier), but the fresh fruit explosion made it tasty and seriously filling. Healthy without feeling like punishment.
The Ultimate Big Breakfast is a beast: bacon, sausages, eggs (your way), grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, toast, and baked beans – with a free coffee or tea. Pure hangover cure or post-beach fuel.Other popular breakfast hits on the menu:
- French Toast with banana and maple syrup
- Smashed Avocado on Sourdough
- Breakfast Tacos
- Veggie Omelette
- Pancakes (classic or with fruit)
Coffee is spot-on – they proudly list Flat White (100 THB) alongside lattes, and it’s properly made. Cheaper than Sydney prices, too!
Both locations open early (around 7–8 AM) and run late (until 10 PM–midnight depending on the branch) – perfect for all-day dining.

Verdict: If you’re craving reliable Aussie-style breakfasts, great coffee, and a comfy spot to start your day, The Coffee Club is a no-brainer. I’ll be rotating it with my other favorites – but this one’s climbing the ranks fast. Highly recommended for anyone missing home flavors in Krabi! Also check my other Ao Nang reviews:
