Best Restaurants on the Gold Coast Queensland

Picking the Top 10 restaurants in any city is a very subjective exercise. I visit the Gold Coast 4 – 5 times a year, and visit a lot of different restaurants.

I have listed my favourite restaurants on the Gold Coast based on good food and good service.

Iku Yakitori Bar at Burleigh Heads

I am listing Iku Yakitor Bar as I have been here 2 times and have a hard time faulting this restaurant. I visit Tokyo often and love drinking some beer and eating some tasty yakitori.

Iku Yakitori is as close as you will get to a traditional Japanese yakitori bar. Best place to sit is at the bar, right in front of the grill where you can watch the chefs cook up all the meals.

You can get a great feed at Iku Yakitori Bar and it will not cost a fortune. You can get a great meal for around $50 per head or cheaper if you are not knocking back the delicious tap beers they offer.

Hellenika Greek Restaurant

Hellenika is usually at the top of any list of best restaurants on the Gold Coast and for very good reasons. This used to be our favourite restaurant on the Gold Coast until Iku Yakitori Bar opened.

Hellenika does serve up the best food in the menu. They have slipped into 2nd place on our list manly because it is not a cheap restaurant. Expect to pay $70 – $80 per head at this restaurant.

If you want a restaurant for a big celebration then lock in Hellenika as you will not be disappointed. Hellenika is located at Nobby Beach just down from Broadbeach.

Glenelg Public House Steak Restaurant

If you are looking for the best steak house on the Gold Coast then get down to the Glenelg Public House in Mermaid Beach. The name is deceptive as it sounds like a pub but this is a full on steak restaurant serving up the best steaks on the Gold Coast.

Hard Rock Cafe Surfers Paradise

Now if you are looking for a tasty burger then you cannot go past the Hard Rock Cafe right in the heart of Surfers Paradise. No matter what city the Hard Rock operates in, you are guaranteed a great burger.

The Hard Rock Cafe is a great family restaurant and the burgers are delicious.

You could walk past Etsu Japanese Izakaya and not notice that it is a restaurant. With just a Japanese red lantern out the front to sign that it is open for business.
