Commerical Hotel in Parramatta
Located right next to Parramatta Train Station is the Commercial Hotel, the best pub in Parramatta and one of the best pubs in Western Sydney. The Commerical Hotel dates back to 1876 though had a major renovation in recent years to make it a modern pub for Sydney to be proud of. With multiple bars including a large sports bar and open beer garden out the back of the pub. The Commerical Hotel has a bistro with a great range of pub food at reasonable prices. A late night pub, The Commerical Hotel is open until 4am on Monday to Thursday and 6am on Friday and Saturday night. With the lock-out laws in Sydney CBD, head out West for a late night drink.

The Fiddler Irish Pub in Rouse Hill
What used to be called ‘The Mean Fiddler’ and with somewhat of a ‘Mean’ Reputation, recently this great Irish Pub in Sydney took on new management and renamed it ‘The Fiddler’ and has brought a family friendly pub to the Western Suburbs of Sydney. This massive Irish Pub in Rouse Hill used to be a Cobb & Co rest stop for the stagecoaches that ran back in 1826. Nowadays The Fiddler has a great bistro and loads of entertainment throughout the weekend and weekends.

Royal Cricketers Arms in Prospect
Tucked away at the back of Blacktown, right next to the Prospect Reservoir is a Sydney gem – The Royal Cricketers Arms. This pub is another historical pub in Sydney dating back to 1880. With a gorgeous beer garden out the back with rustic furniture and a bistro serving up great pub food like Chicken Schnitzel or a traditional old style burger. Macquarie Arms Hotel in Windsor
Located right out in the far Western Suburb of Windsor, right at the foothills of the Blue Mountains is the Macquarie Arms Hotel which lays claim to the ‘Oldest Pub in Sydney’, dating back to 1815. The Macquarie Arms Hotel serves up country style pub food with great service. With live music Friday and Saturday nights and on Sunday afternoon from 1pm – 4pm. Red Cow Inn in Penrith
The Red Cow Inn is located right across the road from Penrith Train Station, next door to Penrith Westfield Shopping Centre. The first pub in Penrith which still has the original old pub building in operation, which is Heritage Listed. The Greystanes Hotels in Greystanes
Just down the road from Merrylands and around 15 minutes drive from Parramatta is the Greystanes Hotel which is a very popular pub in the Western Suburbs. Woolpack Hotel in Parramatta
The Woolpack Hotel in the heart of Parramatta holds the title of the Oldest Licensed Pub in Australia with one of the first pub licenses issued by Governor Phillip in 1796.
